TRUMP JUGANDO AL LÍMITE /TRUMP ON THE BRINK

 Demasiado al límite, para mi gusto. A los chanchos se los mata de a uno.

Atacar a Irán resultó un hueso más duro de roer que lo previsto, pero diente es lo que sobra, según parece. 

Rusia ayuda a Irán por el Caspio con misiles mejores de los que tenía al principio. Trump lo minimizó diciendo "Y sí, un poco lo ayudan, pero nosotros también ayudamos a Ucrania".

Irán expandió el conflicto atacando no sólo a Israel, sino también a sus propios vecinos árabes del Golfo.

Ahora EEUU está provocando a China, que para mí está moviendo alfiles y peones desde lo de Ucrania.

Así empiezan las guerras mundiales...

Es una sospecha mía, pero pienso que China está rejoneándolo y clavándole banderillas a EEUU para reducir su fuerza, o por lo menos evaluar cómo funciona. Todo con miras a tomar Taiwan en 2030, cuando estará lista para hacerlo. Eso dice, por lo menos.

La oportunidad para el zarpazo se puede presentar antes. El objetivo no parece desmesurado cuando de tan gran potencia se trata. Previa mudanza de la industria electrónica y de cuanto activo estratégico se encuentre todavía por allí, puede no ser tan grave. ¿Será una nueva Ucrania o una nueva Venezuela? Dependerá de cómo evolucionen las caleidoscópicas relaciones entre las dos potencia más grandes del mundo.

Por el momento, es una suerte que Trump sea tan imprevisible. Ello ha de descolocar muchísimo a los chinos, porque resulta diametralmente opuesto a su pensamiento. Creo que es lo que más los asusta, hoy por hoy, si es que se puede asustar a un chino.

La táctica de fluctuar entre hacerse el loco y serlo se manifiesta nuevamente. Otro nombre no merece confrontar AL MISMO TIEMPO con Irán, chiquito pero matón, con Rusia, una sombra bastante larga de la superpotencia que fue y con China, la potencia ascendente, que si ya no ha igualado a EEUU, poco le falta. Hay cada vez menos distancia del dicho risible al hecho catastrófico.

Matar a un chacal rabioso, a un oso cansino y a un elefante joven y en crecimiento acelerado puede ser factible y quizás necesario. Sin embargo ¿POR QUÉ TODO AL MISMO TIEMPO?

Too much brinkmanship, for my taste. Hogs are slaughtered one at a time.

Attacking Iran has turned out to be a tougher nut to crack than expected, but there seems to be no shortage of nutcrackers.

Russia is helping Iran via the Caspian with better missiles than it had at the beginning. Trump downplayed it, saying, “Sure, they help a bit—but we also help Ukraine.”

Iran has expanded the conflict by attacking not only Israel, but also its own Arab neighbors in the Gulf.

Now the U.S. is provoking China, which in my view has been moving its pawns ever since the Ukraine situation.

This is how world wars begin...

It’s just my suspicion, but I think China is goading and sticking the U.S., testing and weakening it, or at least gauging its performance. All with an eye on taking Taiwan in 2030, when it expects to be ready. At least, that’s what it says.

The opportunity for a decisive strike could come earlier. The objective doesn’t seem excessive for such a great power. After relocating the electronics industry and any remaining strategic assets, it might not be so serious, after all. Will Taiwan be another Ukraine or another Venezuela? That will depend on how the kaleidoscopic relations between the world’s two largest powers evolve.

For now, it’s fortunate that Trump is so unpredictable. That must be deeply unsettling for the Chinese, given how diametrically opposed to such a dynamic their own mindset is. I think that’s what scares them most right now—if a Chinese can be scared at all.

Trump's tactic of oscillating between pretending to be crazy and actually being so shows up again. There’s no other name for confronting—AT THE SAME TIME—Iran, small but fierce; Russia, still a long shadow of it's former superpower self; and China, the rising power that, if it hasn’t already matched the U.S., is not far off. The distance between laughable rhetoric and catastrophic reality is shrinking fast.

Killing a rabid jackal, a lumbering bear, and a young, fast-growing elephant might be feasible—and perhaps even necessary. But WHY ALL AT THE SAME TIME?
